Connecting to Biodesk:

Step 1) Install Biodesk on your computer :

Step 2) Follow steps at this site. It's a little out of date, but sufficient; ignore the part about "BioDesk Web Client".
It notes that the first time you log in, you'll be asked to enter further information. For the "new BioDesk password", use the same password you already entered.

Step 3) Once you have opened the biodesk application and entered the "BioDesk Session" (e.g. "amadeus.biosci.arizona.edu:02"), a window will open that looks like what you see on this page (read that page).

Step 4) Click on the background, and a menu will appear. Click "XTerminal".

Step 5) A terminal will open. Use it to go through the Unix tutorial linked in the week2 box above
